Photographer, entrepreneur, publicist, writer/poet, actor/filmmaker

Statement

I am a Veteran (former Major, U.S. Army Nurse Corps 1981-90 and also 3 years as U.S. Navy Nurse 1978-81).
My photography depicts images that captivate me. I enjoy snapping photos of nature (beaches, bays, shorebirds, flowers, landscapes, even bugs) at several local areas such as Torrey Pines State Beach and Reserve, Del Mar Lagoon, San Dieguito River Park, San Elijo Lagoon and Conservancy, Coronado, Batiquitos Lagoon Conservancy, Santee Lakes and even my own backyard (hummingbirds) etc. I also enjoy taking headshots of people and love to observe interesting faces!
 
I love the lifestyle here in San Diego - the colors, picturesque nature, beautiful beaches, shops, theatres, galleries, restaurants, etc. 
 
I am the owner of SJF Communications (https://sjfcommunications.com ) which provides public relations, publicity, marketing, social media, photography, acting, writing/poetry and mentoring/coaching services. Our tagline is "Creative Ideas | Dynamic Results". I am a mentor (4rd year in a row) at SDSU in their Aztec Mentor Program.
The many military and corporate geographical moves have been beneficial to me in embracing change, relocation and reinvention! 
I am thrilled to be a part of 'Fleet Week San Diego Art Exhibition” and other exhibition opportunities!
